DXA (Bone Density)

DXA Scanning is used for checking the density of your bones. It is the most common method used by doctors to measure the amount of bone loss in your body and to check for osteoporosis. The X-rays emitted by the scanner is less than that of a standard X-ray machine. So you can be assured that this is a very safe procedure.

DXA Scanning is completely painless. All you have to do is lie on a special table and allow the scanning arm to pass over your body. The procedure will take about 6 minutes.
